This equipment is intended to seal metal foiled waddings inside capped containers. Heating takes place in the metal foil and conducts heat to its plastic coating and subsequently to the container material to melt and fuse.
Pressure is normally applied to the joint by means of the torque exerted by the screwed cap and it is obviously essential that the foil coating is compatible with the particular material.
The package consists of 2 units comprising of the Induction Heating Generator and Hand Applicator. The equipment is intended for low speed production situations and, because normal water-cooling has been avoided, utilisation of the generator and work coil had been deliberately restricted to avoid overheating.
Probably the most important new development from STERIFEED is the induction sealed cap closure for storage bottles, providing absolute security during pasteurisation and transportation up to the point of use.
Used in conjunction with the STERIFEED Data Logger, batch codes provide confirmation that the bottle has been pasteurised in accordance with published medical standards identifying source, formula or donor.
The safety seal will prevent even minute volumes of water diluting the milk during pasteurisation and cooling. The seals feature a tab to avoid touching the neck of the bottle when removing the tamper evident foil seal.
The above method now answers many doctors apprehension regarding the professional handling of pasteurised breast milk. There is no additional operational cost and only a marginal increase in the cost of the containers. There is a one off capital cost for the STERIFEED Induction Sealer.
Unlike some other pasteurisers on the market, the Sterifeed Pasteurisation system has a data logger which records the key milk temperature and not the water bath temperature.
The Sterifeed data logger does not require a direct connection to a PC. The data logger comes with an installation disk, which when installing the programme to the PC, automatically selects the correct instruction language from the PC. Once the disk has been installed the data logger can be started via a USB cable. This can then be disconnected from the PC and connected to the bottle probe to be place in the pasteuriser.
The data logger takes a reading of the milk temperature for every minute the milk is in the pasteuriser. The data logger also records the time and the date of the cycle. Once the pasteurisation cycle is complete the information can be downloaded via the USB to the PC. This gives a permanent record of the satisfactory treatment of every batch. The Sterifeed data logger enables the customer to have data verification and proof of treatment for all milk or formulae pasteurised with instant data retrieval.
The data can also be printed in either graph view or list format so that proof of treatment can be clearly read. The data can also be sent electronically.
Sterifeed supply waterproof labels for the Zebra label printer. The labels have been designed to withstand heating and rapid cooling during the pasteurisation process, with an easy peel facility to allow removal of the label prior to the disposal of bottles and containers. (as required by the Data Protection Act)
The labels enable Donor Milk Banks and Special Feed Units to identify different batches, patient information etc.. when pasteurising.
The new LUMIFem™ uses light to heal nipples the natural way.
With LUMIFem™ Light Therapy, a luminescence diode (LED) delivers essential energy in the form of red light directly to the inflammation focus. This activates cell metabolism, damaged tissue is removed more effectively and new, healthy tissue develops faster.
By popular demand Sterifeed has recently launched a 120ml and 240ml glass bottle. Glass bottles are sometimes a preferred option, due to concerns surrounding BPA problems.
Glass bottles are viewed as the safest option for a chemical free bottle. Glass has the purity of structure that makes any interaction with the stored liquid impossible.
Glass bottles also have the great advantage of preserving a certain temperature for a longer period of time. They do not dilate when it is too warm or shrink when exposed to lower temperatures.
By popular demand Sterifeed have introduced their new 100ml bottle to their bottle range.

All Sterifeed bottles now have easy to read, accurate printed graduations.
Made from clarified polypropylene , these are strong rigid bottles with accurate graduations suitable for pasteurisation & freezing. Bottles can be re-used by using a bottle washer with a disinfectant cycle.
